One of a kind Coolamon lovingly made in Bewong.

For every coolamon made another is installed into a tree for animal habitat.

Coolamons are rare and will not be available all of the time. The maker does not cut down trees or limbs to create them. When hollows are on the ground and are being mulched by a local tree company we move in and install half and create coolamons and bowls with the other half.

Coolamons are traditional carrying vessels used by Australia’s First Nations People. It is a multi-purpose shallow dish with curved sides, traditionally used by Aboriginal women to carry water, fruits, nuts and to cradle babies.

In modern day times these coolamons can be used to gather in the vegetable garden, while foraging in nature, as a fruit bowl and for newborn baby photoshoots.
