Galah Cockatoos ‘Yes?’ Ebony Bennett
Galah Cockatoos ‘Yes?’ Ebony Bennett
60x91cm, Oil on Canvas
Float Frame Australian Oak
Artist Statement: "These pieces represent two of my favourite ways of depicting our beautiful Australian birds and habitats. Painting two Red-tailed Black Cockatoos, a male and female, in portrait style brings the focus of the artwork to their personalities and enables me to capture their lovely faces and feather details. Alternatively, the pair of Galahs and Red-tailed Black Cockatoos in their habitats, on twisted branches and amongst gumleaves, is a more stylised approach and creates context and story with the interaction of the birds in their natural environment."
